Our Standardized Test Preparation classes will focus on developing and improving our student's discipline, effort and focus. This will be accomplished through learning and developing the following skills: how to set goals, follow and develop a plan, core skills in math, reading & writing, apply test taking techniques, time management skills and how to study efficiently. The class will be taught through discussion, collaboration, problem solving and strategy building. To expedite learnings, we will use football/sport concepts, real life examples, follow our plan for success, and promote our culture.

We believe in creating well-balanced student athletes to achieve optimal physical performance not only in competition but in everyday life. We are committed to total physical preparation: student athletes will go through the appropriate steps that are necessary for sustained performance. This will be accomplished by adhering to the principles of sports performance.

Sports-Specific Coaching
About U’s development model encompasses following the rules that govern human performance or “Physical Preparation”. We believe in a holistic and long term development model that takes into account where the athlete is in their respective stage of physical development. Rooted in developing a student-athletes foundation in effort to promote long term and sustained performance outcomes, “mastering the basics” and developing a young athlete’s foundation will lead sport mastery. This is why we have developed a team of coaches that work together synergistically to produce results. The strength coach’s role is to get athletes stronger and less prone to injury through proper strength, power, and energy systems training. In the other corner, the skills and team coaches help with improving the soccer kick, the bat swing, the golf swing, the hockey shot, and the tennis serve. It is not the strength coach’s job to bring the court, field, or ice rink into the weight room and duplicate these actions with loaded contraptions. Strength coaches don’t mimic skills in the weight room. Rather, they mimic movement patterns that will enhance a skill. Sport coaches use what is developed by strength coaches in the weight room to utilize in performing actual sport situations. This can be simply stated as “You need to practice your sport in order to get better at your sport”. Below we have developed a team of “sport coaches” who empower and adhere to developing sport skills.
